I studied Psychology at university where I developed a keen interest in understanding how our experiences, relationships and emotions shape who we are and how we behave. Following this, I trained and worked as a primary school teacher for eight years. During that time, I found myself increasingly drawn to supporting the emotional wellbeing of the children and families I worked with and took the decision to retrain as a counsellor.
I went on to qualify as a pluralistic counsellor, an approach that recognises that every person is unique. I believe that you are the expert of your own life and my role is to work alongside you with empathy, curiosity and respect.
Alongside my private practice, I also work as a school counsellor. Working with both adults and adolescents has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of mental health difficulties and life stresses.
